This amplifier is specifically optimized for subwoofer applications in automotive environments, ensuring a cleaner, louder, and more impressive listening experience. Its Class BD circuit topology contributes to high efficiency ratings, with an average of 86.2% at 4-Ohms, 74.6% at 2-Ohms, and 63.0% at 1-Ohm. Designed for maximum performance, the T1500-1bdCP boasts a frequency response tailored for subwoofers, ranging from 20Hz to 250Hz with a tight +/- 0.5dB tolerance. It offers a low-pass crossover adjustable from 35Hz to 250Hz with a steep 24dB/octave Butterworth slope, along with an infrasonic filter at 28Hz. The amplifier includes features like Balanced Differential Inputs to minimize noise and Rockford Fosgate's proprietary MEHSA 3 technology for improved heat management and durability. It also adheres to CTA-2006 standards for realistic power ratings. Installation requires a 4 AWG power and ground wire, and the unit is recommended to be paired with a 200A fuse. It operates within a 9-16 VDC range and has a power wire gauge requirement of 4 AWG and speaker wire gauge support from 8 AWG to 18 AWG.
