Overview

The Garrett T3/T4E turbocharger is a common hybrid turbocharger designed for a variety of engines, offering enhanced response and supporting up to 450 crank horsepower. This Garrett factory-assembled and balanced turbocharger ensures OEM reliability. It features a 50-trim compressor and a Stage III turbine, and is oil-cooled, eliminating the need for water lines. The default exhaust housing is T3 inlet with a 4-bolt (T31) outlet, with various optional turbine housings available.

The Garrett T3/T4E turbocharger is a popular hybrid turbo designed to provide a balance of response and power for a wide range of engines. It is engineered to support up to 450 crank horsepower, making it a versatile upgrade for performance builds. This turbo features a 50-trim compressor wheel for efficient airflow and a Stage III turbine for robust exhaust gas management. It is an oil-cooled unit, simplifying installation by not requiring water lines. The turbo is factory-assembled and balanced by Garrett, ensuring a high level of reliability and performance consistent with OEM standards. The standard configuration includes a T3 inlet and a 4-bolt (T31) outlet for the exhaust housing. However, Garrett offers a variety of optional turbine housings with different A/R ratios to allow for further customization and tuning to specific engine requirements. This turbocharger is presented as a universal application, suitable for various engine builds where enhanced forced induction is desired. It is compatible with a 0.63 A/R turbine housing, as noted in some product listings, and features a compressor flange of 2.75 inches. Note that this unit does not come with NPT threads.
