Overview

The CXRacing manifold and downpipe kit is designed for the 1994-1999 Mazda Miata MX-5 with a 1.8L engine for naturally aspirated to turbo conversions. This kit features a new top-mount T3 turbo manifold with equal-length and long-tube runner design, supporting higher horsepower and torque compared to T25/T28 manifolds. It includes a 2.5" V-band downpipe and is designed for easy installation.

The CXRacing T3 Manifold + Downpipe Kit is engineered for the 1994-1999 Mazda Miata MX-5 equipped with the 1.8L engine, specifically for naturally aspirated (NA-T) setups. This kit introduces a new design featuring a top-mount T3 turbo manifold. Its equal length and long tube runner configuration is developed to achieve higher horsepower and torque outputs, offering an advantage over typical T25/T28 manifolds found in other Miata applications. The manifold is constructed from 11-gauge thick wall tubing with 1.75" OD runners. It is designed to accommodate larger turbos and includes a 2.5" V-band downpipe. Key specifications for the manifold include its top-mount placement, T3 turbo flange, 11-gauge thick wall construction, and 1.75" OD elbow runners. Notably, it lacks a wastegate flange, meaning the turbo used must have an internal wastegate. The included 2.5" stainless steel downpipe connects via a 2.5" V-band to the turbo, features an O2 sensor bung, and is designed to connect to the factory pre-catalytic converter position. This product specifically includes the manifold and downpipe only; the turbocharger and intercooler kit are not included and must be purchased separately. CXRacing states that all their parts are developed in their US-based R&D center with a focus on improved performance gains, excellent fitment, and ease of installation.
