Overview

The Spelab exhaust header is designed for BMW M54 engines in E46, E60, E61, and E65/E66 chassis. Constructed from heavy gauge T304 stainless steel with a mirror polish surface, it offers long life and improved engine performance and sound. This header is intended for track and off-road use unless catalytic converters are welded in.

It is specified for Left Hand Drive models only and is not compatible with xi four-wheel drive models.

The Spelab exhaust header is crafted from heavy gauge T304 stainless steel, featuring a mirror polish finish for durability and aesthetic appeal. This product is specifically designed for BMW M54 engines found in E46 323i/328i (1998-2006), E39 5 Series (1997-2000), and other compatible chassis with 2.5L/2.8L/3.0L inline-6 engines. It is intended for track and off-road use only; owners wishing to use it on public roads will need to weld in catalytic converters. However, potential buyers should be aware of specific fitment notes: this header is for Left Hand Drive models only and will not fit xi four-wheel drive models. Additionally, it is not compatible with M3/M5 performance variants or diesel engine models. Models equipped with air pumps may require modifications. Customer feedback suggests that some slight modifications may be necessary for optimal fitment, such as adjusting O2 sensor bungs or ensuring clearance with the motor mount arm, and it is recommended to remove the lower aluminum brace for easier installation.
