The IE Catback Exhaust System is a high-flow exhaust system designed for the 2018+ VW 2nd gen Tiguan. It features proprietary DroneTrap technology to deliver a deep, sporty exhaust note while minimizing drone. The system is constructed from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel with hand TIG-welded joints for durability.

Unleash the sporty side of your 2018+ VW 2nd gen Tiguan with the IE Catback Exhaust System. The DroneTrap captures and cancels out drone-inducing pulse waves, leaving a refined and enriched sound. Crafted for both performance and longevity, the catback exhaust is built from mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance. Its joints are meticulously hand TIG-welded for maximum strength and reliability. The muffler design uses a stamped multi-wall construction to prevent warping, and reinforced hangers securely mount the system while dispersing stress and vibration. Connections are secured with wide-width stretch clamps, inspired by OE designs, for a tight, leak-free seal. Utilizing high-end 3D scanning technology and advanced design software, IE engineers ensured a precise, seamless fitment tailored specifically for the Tiguan chassis. The average installation time is approximately one hour. This catback exhaust system is specifically designed for AWD (All-Wheel Drive) 2.0T models of the 2018-2024 VW Tiguan (2nd Gen). It is explicitly noted that this system does not fit FWD (Front-Wheel Drive) models. Additionally, the product is not currently legal for road use in California due to emissions compliance and carries a California Prop 65 warning.
