Show original supplier description
The Thermo-Tec Rogue Series T4 Black Turbo Cover is engineered to enhance turbocharger performance and underhood thermal management. Constructed from a dual-layer woven fiberglass material with a distinct carbon fiber look, this cover is designed specifically for T4 exhaust housings. Its primary function is to maintain optimal temperatures within the turbocharger, which helps to keep the turbine spooled, thereby reducing turbo lag and improving throttle response. By effectively insulating the turbocharger, this heat shield significantly reduces underhood temperatures. This not only contributes to the longevity of surrounding engine components but also allows for potential horsepower and performance gains. The dual-layer construction enhances both the durability of the cover and its insulating capabilities. While the product is generally described as a universal fit for T4 turbochargers, some adaptation may be required depending on the specific vehicle and turbocharger setup. As a safety precaution, this product is subject to California's Proposition 65 warning regarding potential cancer and reproductive harm.
