This ATK HP36C is a 383 cubic inch Chevy Stroker complete engine, producing 435 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. It is built with an OE roller block (4-bolt main, 1-piece rear seal, suitable for 1996-2000 applications). Key components include a Scat Nodular Iron crankshaft (external balance rear, internal balance front), Scat I-Beam 5.7” connecting rods with ARP 8740 bolts, and forged 10:1 compression pistons. The camshaft is a hydraulic roller with specs of 220/224 @.050” duration, .528”/.536” lift, and a 110LSA, driven by a double roller timing chain. It features ATK HP aluminum cylinder heads (72cc chambers, 200cc intake runners, 2.02”/1.60” valves) and 1.6 ratio billet aluminum roller rocker arms. The engine comes with a rear sump 5-quart oil pan, which is noted to be incompatible with Chevelles featuring steering behind the crossmember, some Corvettes, and 1962-1967 Chevy II’s. Other components include a Melling standard volume oil pump, externally balanced flexplate/flywheel (with Scat kit), internally balanced balancer, Edelbrock Performer RPM dual plane intake manifold, HEI distributor with an iron gear, OE long water pump, Quick Fuel 670CFM vacuum secondaries electric choke carburetor (#BR-67256), mechanical fuel pump, Autolite #3923 spark plugs, and 8mm spark plug wires.
