The Pro 5.0 T5 & T45 Shifter is a high-performance, short-throw upgrade machined from billet aluminum to replace restrictive, less durable stock shifters. By incorporating adjustable high-strength positive stops, this assembly helps prevent internal transmission damage, such as bent forks, and eliminates the common second-to-third gear offset. Designed specifically for 1983-2000 Ford Mustang models equipped with T5 or T45 transmissions, this shifter provides a tighter, more precise mechanical feel for improved driving engagement. The unit is manufactured in the USA and includes a 12mm x 1.75 handle thread size. Installation of this shifter is a direct replacement process, though enthusiasts should note that fitment is limited to T5 and T45 transmissions; it is not compatible with other transmission models like the T56 or TR3650. Users should ensure they are installing this on the correct transmission generation, as specific fitments exist for different Ford platforms.
