The Steeda Short Throw Shifter is engineered to deliver the smoothest, most comfortable, and quickest shifting experience for your Fox Body and SN95 Mustang. Constructed from CNC-machined billet 6061 T-6 aluminum, this shifter boasts a heavy-duty design without welds, stampings, or castings that could break. It features a nickel-plated pivot shaft for durability and corrosion resistance, paired with grade 8 and stainless steel hardware. An exclusive BootGuard is integrated to prevent damage to your factory rubber inner boot, and the compact tower design facilitates easier installation. This shifter incorporates adjustable positive stops that prevent over-extending the shift lever, thereby protecting your transmission from potential damage, a crucial feature as the T-5 transmission lacks internal stops that could otherwise lead to bent shift forks. Additionally, the shifter offers a two-position adjustable height for customized comfort and an improved hand position over other short throw shifters. This shifter is made in the USA and accepts both factory and Steeda shift knobs, including Steeda's exclusive Tri-Ax shift handle. It is designed to fit 1982-mid-2001 Ford Mustangs equipped with a T5 or T45 transmission.
