The MGW T5/T45 Toploader Short Throw Shifter is engineered to significantly enhance the driving experience in 1982-2004 Ford Mustangs equipped with T5 or T45 transmissions. This shifter boasts the shortest throw in its class, providing a more precise and engaging gear change. It is also recognized as one of the quietest aftermarket shifters available, minimizing unwanted noise and vibration. Key features include 360-degree adjustability for the shift knob position, allowing drivers to customize the feel and reach for optimal comfort. Additionally, the shifter reduces slop, vibration, and buzzing when in gear, and features fully adjustable stops to protect against broken or bent shift forks. Installation is straightforward, with no modification of the factory inner boot required, and it accepts factory or aftermarket shift knobs with 12mm threads. The shifter is constructed with a Class III Teflon Impregnated Hard Coat Anodized finish to prevent galling and grease contamination. The handles themselves are CNC machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and are guaranteed for life. Customers can choose from three handle options, each offering a different level of shift reduction: the Race Handle provides a 35% reduction for a more extreme feel, the Standard Handle offers a 30% reduction, and the Comfort Handle provides a 25% reduction with the smoothest throw and best reach.
