The Racingline Twin Dogbone Insert (Version 2) is engineered to significantly enhance the feel and performance of your vehicle's drivetrain. By filling the voids in the factory lower engine mount with two precision-machined billet inserts, this component effectively controls drivetrain movement. This results in a much tighter, sharper, and more responsive driving experience, particularly valuable for FWD cars where it helps eliminate wheel-hop during hard acceleration and aggressive gear changes. Constructed from a billet of T6061 Aluminium with RacingLine’s trademark black anodized finish, this insert is built for durability and long-lasting performance, unlike polyurethane or steel alternatives that can deform over time. The dual-insert design is crucial, as it balances forces top and bottom, preventing the twisting moments that can lead to failure in single-insert systems. To ensure correct fitment, it is essential to visually identify your vehicle's factory lower engine mount. This insert, the VWR150004, is designed for OE part number 5Q0 198 037 F, which is characterized by a triangular central void within the mount. Compatibility extends to MQB and MQB 'evo' platforms, including various 2.0 TSI, 1.8 TSI, 2.5 TFSI, and 2.0 TDI models across Volkswagen, Audi, and other VAG brands. For vehicles running very high power or frequently used on track, RacingLine also offers a complete replacement lower mount and torque arm for maximum strength.
