Description

The Reid Racing SH400HB is a Turbo 400 tailhousing designed to be stronger and more rigid than stock GM tailhousings. It is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum alloy with thicker walls and additional gusseting. Precision machining and aligned bores minimize power loss and maximize reliability, while a reworked oil passage improves lubrication for the yoke and rear bushing. This is a shorter version intended for upgrading from a Powerglide to a Turbo 400 while retaining the driveshaft, making the Turbo 400 the same length as a Powerglide.
