The Hawk Performance Talon brake rotor and pad kits provide a performance brake upgrade. The kits include Hawk brake pad compound along with high-quality Talon rotors, manufactured to work seamlessly together. The HPS 5.0 (High Performance Street 5.0) brake pad compound is a Ferro-Carbon compound that enhances braking characteristics. It offers aggressive torque, great rotor and pad wear, smooth and predictable control, high rates of deceleration, and consistent release characteristics. The optimal operating temperature range is 100-550°F, with a maximum operating temperature of 750°F. This compound provides increased brake torque and operating temperature compared to the Hawk HPS compound and can withstand light track use. It is designed to provide greater stopping power and pedal feel without compromising ABS. The Talon Drilled and Slotted Rotors are made from Grade 3000 Cast Iron and are built to OE specifications, weights, and production processes. They feature Hawk Performance's DTC curved slot design, which is CNC integrated for improved brake pad "bite" and reduced noise. The rotors are precision engineered, machined, finished, and weather-fortified in North America to ensure durability and corrosion resistance, exceeding the 240-hour ISO-9227 salt-spray test. The drilled designs optimize thermal efficiency, heat dissipation, strength, and improve wet braking. They are balanced and incorporate precision milled slots to reduce harmonic resonance issues. A black Magni brake rotor coating barrier is applied for superior corrosion resistance and quick, easy bed-in.
