The TechSpec tank grip kit is a specialized traction set engineered for the 2006–2016 Yamaha R6. By allowing the rider to squeeze the tank with their knees and thighs, these grips help secure body position during braking, cornering, and acceleration while reducing pressure on the wrists, elbows, shoulders, and lower back. Constructed from the company's flagship Snake Skin material, these grips feature a thin, .125-inch medium durometer rubber that offers durable protection and a secure feel. The complete precut kit includes left and right tank grip pads, frame grips, and a center tank protector. Note that these adhesive-backed pads should be applied carefully, as the adhesive may stain certain paint finishes, particularly those with a white matte surface. Ensure surfaces are clean and prepped according to the manufacturer's installation guidelines to guarantee proper bonding.
