Each UWS tool box is constructed from extra-thick aluminum welded into a single-piece tub, providing reliable strength and sealing the interior from the elements. The aluminum construction also makes the box highly resistant to corrosion. The lid features a patented RigidCore foam-filled design, layered between two sheets of aluminum, which greatly increases the structural integrity of the lid to prevent bending and warping and ensures smooth opening and closing. The lid opens to a full 90 degrees for better access to tools and equipment, and features self-opening struts for easy operation. This low-profile design sits lower on the bed rail, providing a better view out the rear cab window and additional clearance for other items in the truck bed. A MicroSeal gasket on the lid helps seal out moisture, dirt, and insects. UWS crossover truck tool boxes offer convenient organization with built-in screwdriver holders and a three-compartment sliding tool tray.
