The LB7 (2001-2004) DT550 - BUILT TRANSMISSION WITH TORQUE CONVERTER is designed for 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004 Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra Duramax trucks. It's ideal for daily driving, frequent towing, or those seeking a more reliable Allison 1000 transmission, promising smooth, positive shifts and easy converter lock-up.

This pre-built DT550 transmission includes:

* **Upgraded Clutches:** C1-C4 Raybestos GPZ/Borg Warner clutches, C5 Raybestos clutches for improved torque capacity, high heat resistance, smooth engagements, maximized reliability, and better durability than stock. Made in the USA.
* **Extra Clutches:** The DT550 has added clutches for stronger holding capacity compared to the factory Allison (e.g., 16 C1 clutches vs. 12 stock, 7 C2 clutches vs. 6 stock, etc.).
* **All New Electronics:** New Neutral Safety Switch, new speed sensors, all OEM electronics and sensors to prevent corrosion, shorts, bad connectors, and ensure trouble-free operation and long-term reliable performance.
* **Upgraded Valve Body:** Features a TransGo shift kit with Mike L. upgraded shift springs for quicker, crisper shifts. It's a rebuilt valve body with new solenoids, pressure switch, and harness.
* **Upgraded C3/C4 Return Springs:** Stronger and more durable design for more dependable clutch pack release and improved shift quality.
* **Upgraded Billet Torque Converter:** A custom Goerend Billet Triple Disc converter (stock has one disc). It's designed for smoother rotation, with forged front cover and clutch pistons, a billet steel back cover, ensuring torque converter clutch lock-up. It also has a stator guaranteed not to break, proprietary high-performance multi-disc lock-up clutches for superior strength to stock, smooth consistent lock-up, and an 1800-1900 RPM stall speed, perfect for towing and daily driving, and providing reliability for increased power levels.
* **Upgraded Transmission Case:** Pre-drilled to accept a C3 Oiler upgrade (even if not selected), making future upgrades easy.
* **Upgraded Line Pressure Spring:** Includes an upgraded TransGo lock-up valve, which increases line pressure for stronger clutch holding force.

**Optional Upgrades:**
* **C-3 Oiler:** Increases lubrication of clutches, improving overall longevity and reliability.
* **Deep Pan:** Increases fluid capacity for cleaner, cooler fluid.
