TD04L Turbocharger

The Subaru turbocharger is a new, direct-fit replacement for the Mitsubishi TD04L model, carrying part number 49377-04553. It includes a pre-calibrated wastegate actuator, all-new bearings, seals, and housings, and a water-cooled center housing for improved thermal stability. This turbocharger is a direct bolt-on replacement for the original Mitsubishi TD04L installed on several Subaru and Saab models. Specifically, it fits the 2002–2007 Subaru Impreza WRX (non-STI), 2004–2008 Subaru Forester XT, 2004–2006 Subaru Baja Turbo, and 2005–2006 Saab 9-2X Aero. It is designed for use with Subaru EJ25 engines and may also fit EJ20 WRX variants. Installation requires replacing the oil supply and return lines. It is recommended to follow Subaru TSB 02-103-07 for banjo bolt and line cleaning to prevent oil starvation. It is backed by a 12-month limited warranty and is not intended as a performance upgrade. Subtle differences in wastegate actuator spring rate and outlet flange configuration may exist across model years, so it is advised to verify your existing part number before ordering.
