The Tomioka Racing TD05-16G Turbo (TR-TS1002) is a high-performance turbocharger designed to serve as a direct replacement or a mild upgrade for various Subaru WRX and STI models. This unit features a journal bearing and utilizes a standard Subaru 5-bolt flange for compatibility. This turbo is specifically tailored for Subaru vehicles, including the 2002-2005 WRX, 2006-2007 WRX, 2004-2007 STI, 2008-2014 STI, and 2015-2021 STI. Its application also extends to earlier models such as the GDA-GDB WRX/STI from 2002-2008 and GC8 models from 1998 onwards. The TD05-16G is recognized for its balanced performance, offering characteristics similar to the factory VF39 turbo, making it a popular choice for enhancing street car performance without requiring extensive modifications.
