TD05-18G Billet Turbocharger w/ 1.1 Bar Actuator

The Tomioka Racing TR Billet TD05-18G is a direct bolt-on turbocharger engineered for street and track performance, serving as a stock replacement for Subaru Impreza WRX (2002-2007) and STI (2004-2021) models. Constructed with a durable journal bearing, this turbo features a 52.5 mm compressor wheel inlet and a 68 mm outlet, paired with a 56 mm turbine wheel inlet and a 49.2 mm outlet. The turbine housing is an 8cm unit, and it comes equipped with a 1.1 Bar (16 psi) wastegate actuator. The billet wheel design offers lighter and stronger blades compared to previous TR TD05-20G models, enabling the turbo to handle mid-to-high-end horsepower gains with reduced lag time relative to the stock turbo. It is rated for a maximum of 440 HP. The kit includes the turbocharger itself, along with essential gaskets, actuator, oil pipe, water pipe, and hardware kits to facilitate installation. Customers can choose between a 1.1 bar (red) or 1.3 bar (silver) wastegate actuator spring. The 1.1 bar spring is recommended for those seeking lower boost maps in the mid-teens for street or valet use, or for setups targeting 18-22 psi where good controller authority and flexibility are desired. The 1.3 bar spring is suited for applications where the normal target boost is 19 psi or higher, potentially offering better resistance to early wastegate opening in high load scenarios.
