The Tech-53 BMW E46 M54 to M50 Intake Manifold Adapter Kit is a performance-oriented solution for owners looking to upgrade their M54 engine with an M50 intake manifold. The kit includes a manifold adapter plate, fuel rail spacers, and injector spacers to facilitate the swap without removing the engine from the vehicle. Installation requires specific components and modifications: you must source an M50 manifold separately, as it is not included. This kit requires the use of a 330i/330ci (M54B30) throttle body; the throttle body from the 325i/325ci (M54B25) does not fit. Furthermore, you will need to modify the fuel rail by cutting off unusable mounting brackets and seal open holes in the engine block using the provided M10 x 8mm screws. After installation, you must weld and seal the dipstick tube vent and perform an ECU tune, as power gains are negligible without recalibration. This kit is exclusively for 325i and 330i E46 (M54) engines. You may select an ICV Delete option for a simpler setup, or choose the ICV Bushing Adapter to retain the Idle Air Control Valve for improved idle comfort and cold starts in daily-driven applications.
