Description

The Victron Energy ASS000100000 is a temperature sensor designed for use with the BMV 702/712 and SmartShunt battery monitors. It allows the second channel of the BMV 702 to measure battery temperature instead of monitoring an auxiliary battery's voltage.

The sensor features a short lead that connects directly to the circuit board on the shunt. The BMV can record these temperature readings in its historical data. This sensor is specifically for the BMV702 and is not interchangeable with sensors used in other Victron products. When using this sensor for temperature readings, the second channel cannot be used for any other function, such as monitoring a second battery's voltage, as it is programmable for a single use.
