Utilizing tempered aluminum construction, this kit includes 10 precisely manufactured collars. The core principle behind the Rigid Collar is to address the inherent looseness in chassis mounting points. Factory bolt holes are often intentionally oversized for ease of manufacturing. Over time, this slight movement between chassis panels can lead to a degradation of handling characteristics, even after other suspension components are upgraded. The Rigid Collar effectively eliminates this play by filling the gap around the bolts, which are then torqued down to secure the two panels together permanently. Installation is estimated to take one hour. This kit is compatible with a wide range of Honda models, including the Fit-Jazz (GE6-GE9) from 2007-2014 with various NA engines, as well as the CR-Z (ZF1 and ZF2) with LEA-MF6 engines from 2010-2017. It also fits the Fit Shuttle (GG7-GG8, GP2) and Freed (GP3), and Insight (ZE2, ZE3) models with specific engine and year ranges.
