Description

The Dayco 89708 is an automatic serpentine belt tensioner assembly designed for specific vehicle applications. It features a patented flat spring design that minimizes operating range variation, reducing the risk of premature accessory bearing failure caused by over-tensioning and minimizing belt noise or slippage from under-tensioning. The tensioner includes a PTFE string within the spring to resist abrasion and dampen noise. Its heavy-duty cast aluminum spring case and arm resist cracking and fatigue, while premium thermoplastic rubber seals keep contaminants out.
