The G Force RCBE-400 is a transmission crossmember designed for 1969-1970 GM B-Body models. It is compatible with TH400 Short Tail, TH375, and 2004R transmissions. The crossmember features a black powder-coated finish and includes mounting hardware.

This crossmember is designed to provide extra clearance, which can be beneficial for routing larger exhaust systems, such as 3-inch pipes. It requires a new transmission mount for installation. For proper fitment, it's crucial to measure the distance between the crossmember frame mounting holes, which should be 54 inches for these models. Note that 1969-1970 B-Body frames must have the OEM factory two sets of crossmember mounting angles; this application uses the rearward set.

The G Force RCBE-400 is a black powder-coated transmission crossmember specifically engineered for 1969-1970 GM B-Body vehicles, including models like Bel-Air, Caprice, Impala, and Catalina. This crossmember is designed to accommodate TH400 Short Tail, TH375, and 2004R transmissions. It is noted for providing extra clearance, which is advantageous for installing larger diameter exhaust systems, such as 3-inch pipes. The product comes with included mounting hardware, though a new transmission mount is recommended for installation. For accurate fitment, it is essential to measure the distance between the crossmember frame mounting holes on your vehicle; this crossmember is designed for frames with a 54-inch distance. Additionally, 1969-1970 B-Body frames must be equipped with the OEM factory two sets of crossmember mounting angles on each frame rail, as this crossmember utilizes the rearward set. Installation may require modifying existing frame holes to 1/2″ if originally equipped with 3/8″ crossmember bolts, or upgrading to Grade 8 bolts and hardened flat washers if retaining 3/8″ fasteners. Minor contact between the floorpan and the crossmember might occur due to body bushing wear or a bowed floor pan, which can typically be corrected with a floor jack and wood cushion.
