It features a neodymium magnet-equipped service plug to trap ferrous debris, preventing damage to transmission components.

The PPE Transmission Fluid Thermal Bypass Valve is an easy-to-install upgrade crafted from billet aluminum, designed for Dodge Charger, Challenger, and Chrysler 300 models featuring the ZF-8 speed transmission. This valve directly addresses the restrictive internal passages found in the OEM part, which can impede transmission fluid flow to the cooler. Failure of the stock valve in a closed position, often due to mechanical issues or debris, can lead to dangerously high transmission temperatures, especially under demanding conditions like launching or stop-and-go driving, ultimately shortening the lifespan of transmission components. By eliminating the mechanical valve, the PPE Bypass Valve significantly increases fluid flow and enhances the cooling effect from the transmission cooler. For added protection, it incorporates a service plug equipped with a neodymium magnet. This removable plug effectively traps ferrous debris from the transmission fluid, allowing for easy access to remove particles and maintain system cleanliness. This feature is not present on the factory part. The valve is finished with a durable black powder coat and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Compatible vehicles include 2012+ Dodge Charger, 2015+ Dodge Challenger, and 2013+ Chrysler 300 models with the ZF-8 Speed Transmission, as well as Charger/Challenger/TRX models with the 6.2L V8 and 8HP90 transmission. It is important to note that this part does not fit RAM vehicles.
