Thermal Heat Shield

It effectively reflects and insulates from various heat sources, making it ideal for areas with consistently high temperatures. Constructed with a 10 mil embossed aluminum face bonded to a 1/8" composite glass-fiber core, this shield offers excellent lightweight thermal protection. It also functions as a guard against track and road debris, while providing sound deadening benefits. The shield can withstand up to 1750°F direct heat, with its high-temperature adhesive backing holding strong up to 450°F. The modern aluminum surface improves reflection and rigidity, contributing to ease of installation. The aluminum side must always face the heat source. Measuring only 3/16" thick, the Floor & Tunnel Shield II can be shaped and trimmed for a custom fit, making it suitable for areas with minimal clearance. Its unique, patented finely woven glass-fiber backing makes it an easy and cost-effective solution for controlling thermal transfer. This versatile shield can be applied to various surfaces including metal, aluminum, carbon fiber, and plastic. It is recommended for use on firewalls, under hoods, transmission tunnels, floor pans, fuel cells, and exterior under-vehicle locations to reflect damaging heat. **Important Note:** This product is not intended for direct application to exhaust components.
