Manufactured from high-carbon alloyed iron, these rotors undergo Thermal Stability Profiling (TSP) to ensure they can withstand the elevated stress and heat generated during intense braking applications. This specific rotor, the DBA2951X, features a unique cross-drilled and slotted surface. The cross-drilling provides additional exit points for gases and friction dust, while the slots help to dissipate heat and improve the rotor's responsiveness. These rotors are designed as direct replacements, simplifying installation for compatible vehicles. Key technical specifications include an outside diameter of 280mm, a nominal and discard thickness of 10mm, an overall height of 40mm, and a 72mm center hole diameter. It is a solid rotor type with 5 stud/lug holes. Compatibility includes specific model years and trims for the Ford Fusion, Lincoln MKZ, Mercury Milan, Mazda 6, Mazda 626, Mazda MX-5 Miata, and Mazda Protege. Notably, the 2006-2007 Mazda 6 models exclude the Mazdaspeed 6, and the 2003 Mazda Protege specified is the Mazdaspeed variant for rear disc applications.
