By opening at a lower temperature than factory specifications, it helps stabilize water temperatures and prevent the engine power loss often associated with rapid heat spikes during operation. The unit begins its operation at 70°C and reaches a fully open state at 82°C, compared to the 76~80°C start and 90°C fully open range of the standard OEM thermostat. This thermostat is specifically designed for K24Ax engine variants, including those found in the Acura TSX and various Honda Accord, CR-V, and Element models. Please note that this product will not fit K20Ax engines. Compatibility and fitment should be verified by the user prior to purchase, as this part is primarily intended for use with JDM-spec vehicles.
