Constructed from billet aluminum with a durable black anodized finish, this housing offers superior strength and corrosion resistance compared to stock plastic or cast iron alternatives. Its design ensures a secure and leak-free seal at the manifold surface, thanks to the included O-ring. This thermostat housing features a -16AN port, which is 1-5/16"-12 thread size, providing a secure connection point for modern AN-style hose fittings. This makes it ideal for custom cooling system setups and performance applications. The housing is made in the USA and includes all necessary stainless steel hardware for installation. The JEGS Billet Ford Thermostat Housing is specifically designed to fit Ford 289, 302/5.0L, and 351W small block V8 engines. This direct-fit design simplifies installation and ensures proper compatibility with the engine block and thermostat. Included with the housing are: a -16AN port with a 1-5/16"-12 thread size for hose fitting, stainless steel hardware, and an O-ring seal at the manifold surface. The product has a semi-universal fitment classification, but its primary application is for the specified Ford engine displacements.
