The Mugen fan switch is a precision-engineered cooling component designed to improve thermal management by activating the radiator fan at 80°C, significantly lower than the standard factory activation point of 93°C. This earlier engagement helps prevent heat soak and maintains more consistent engine temperatures during high-performance or spirited driving, protecting critical components from excessive heat. This cooling solution is compatible with a wide range of Honda and Acura models, including the 1993-1997 Del Sol, 1992-2005 Honda Civic, 1994-2001 Integra, 2002-2006 RSX (Base and Type S), 2000-2009 S2000 (AP1 and AP2), and the 2004-2008 TSX. It is designed as a direct-fit replacement to ensure seamless integration with existing cooling systems. Engine cooling system maintenance often requires professional installation to ensure proper sensor operation and system sealing. Users should ensure their cooling loop is correctly bled following installation to avoid trapped air pockets that could impact temperature readings or system efficiency.
