The Derale 25792 Fluid Control Thermostat is a billet style cast aluminum unit featuring 1/2" NPT ports, engineered to optimize fluid temperature management. This thermostat allows fluid to bypass the cooler until it reaches a specific operating temperature of 180°F. Once this temperature is achieved, the internal thermostatic valve closes, redirecting 100% of the fluid through the cooler to maintain a consistent system pressure and optimal operating temperature. This system is particularly beneficial for achieving ideal operating temperatures more rapidly, especially in colder climates, by preventing unnecessary cooling during the warm-up phase. The unit offers flexibility with a design that can be rotated 180 degrees to accommodate different flow direction requirements. It includes a universal mounting bracket that allows for four distinct mounting positions, simplifying installation. The thermostat is rated to handle flows of up to 20 gallons per minute and pressures up to 200 psi, constructed with an ultra-bright finish.
