The Mishimoto MMOC-MX5-90 is a black, thermostatic oil cooler kit designed for the 1999-2005 Mazda Miata NB.

This kit directly fits the Miata NB and is engineered to reduce oil temperatures by 10°F (5.6°C). The mounting brackets also function as ducting to channel air to the cooler, and it increases oil capacity by 0.5 qt. It features pre-made stainless steel braided oil lines with durable -10AN fittings and a billet aluminum thermostatic oil sandwich plate.

The Mishimoto MMOC-MX5-90 is a black, thermostatic oil cooler kit specifically designed for the 1999-2005 Mazda Miata NB. This kit offers a direct fit for the Miata NB, addressing the limitations of the stock liquid-to-liquid oil cooler, which is often insufficient for spirited driving or track use. During testing, this kit demonstrated a reduction in oil temperatures by 10°F (5.6°C) during a 65 mph highway cruise. The cooler's mounting bracket design also serves as ducting to effectively channel air to the cooler, and it is positioned away from the front bumper to accommodate potential intercooler installations. Engineered with performance and longevity in mind, the MMOC-MX5-90 features a billet aluminum thermostatic oil sandwich plate. This crucial component ensures that the engine oil reaches its optimal operating temperature before being directed to the cooler, preventing issues associated with overcooling, particularly in colder climates. The kit includes pre-made stainless steel braided oil lines equipped with durable -10AN fittings. Additionally, the oil cooler increases the vehicle's oil capacity by 0.5 qt. Installation is rated as medium difficulty and includes 10 parts. Mishimoto recommends flushing the oil cooler with one quart of clean oil prior to installation to remove any potential shipping debris. The product is backed by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
