The 845 Motorsports Hyundai Sonata/Optima Front Mount Intercooler is engineered to address the limitations of Air Intake Temps (AITs) in the ThetaII TGDI 2.0ltr engine, a common issue that restricts power output. This system moves the intercooler to a lower front opening for an improved efficiency setup. Constructed with CNC mandrel-bent aluminum piping, this intercooler features bead-rolled ends to ensure a secure, leak-free installation and promote optimal airflow. Buyers can choose between a standard or upgraded intercooler core, both of which offer superior performance compared to the factory unit. An option to retain the stock Blow-Off Valve (BOV) pipe is available for those seeking a more budget-friendly solution, though specific flange requirements should be noted in the order comments. Testing has shown AITs to remain within 10-15°F above ambient temperature, ensuring you feel the power of a cool, crisp day all year round.
