Description

The THOR CI (cowl intake/cowl induction) kit from Trail Head Off-Road is designed to improve air intake for your 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ with a 4.0L I6 engine. It sources air from the high-pressure zone at the base of the windshield, ensuring colder and denser air enters the engine. This intake system elevates the inlet substantially higher than the factory position, offering a cleaner engine bay for potential additions like extra batteries or air systems, all without the appearance of a cumbersome snorkel. The heat-shield design allows water to drain effectively from both the factory drain and below the filter, preventing water from pooling in the intake tube. Key features include a high-flow, reusable air filter and a 50-State legal CARB EO decal. The kit ships with a black powder coating. Note that early models may require modifications to clear the AC drier.
