Installation requires removing the mounting bolts and the intake air duct. After replacing the unit, it is recommended to inspect the throttle body O-ring for any signs of deterioration or damage and replace it if necessary. Wiping down the mating surfaces on both the throttle body and the intake manifold is essential to ensure a proper seal. Following installation, note that a Diagnostic Trouble Code may be triggered in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). This code can typically be cleared using a standard automotive scan tool.
