The Modern Performance bored throttle body is a performance upgrade for 2.0L and 2.4L Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, and Jeep engines. It increases the intake bore size from the factory 64mm to 68mm to improve airflow to the motor for enhanced throttle response and increased power.

This unit is a direct replacement for the OEM component and functions with both manual and automatic transmissions.

The Modern Performance bored throttle body serves as a direct-fit performance upgrade for select 2.0L and 2.4L engines, replacing the factory 64mm unit with an increased 68mm bore to facilitate greater airflow. Each unit is disassembled, professionally bored, and reassembled with a custom-machined throttle plate to ensure optimal performance and throttle response without inducing idle issues or check engine lights. Compatibility is verified for the following specific models: 2013-2016 Dodge Dart (2.0L/2.4L), 2015-2016 Chrysler 200 (2.4L), 2014-2019 Jeep Cherokee (2.4L), 2015-2021 Jeep Renegade (2.4L), 2016-2018 Fiat 500X (2.4L), 2015-2022 Ram Promaster City (2.4L), and 2017-2022 Jeep Compass (2.4L). Installation is a straightforward bolt-on process requiring only basic hand tools. Notably, no PCM tune or break-in period is required. However, users must perform a specific throttle relearn procedure immediately after installation, which involves a key-cycle and pedal-depress sequence to synchronize the system. The procedure is as follows: turn off all accessories, turn the key to "ON" (not start), wait for the chime, fully depress the throttle until the check engine light flashes, hold until the flash stops, turn the key to "OFF," release the pedal, and wait two minutes before starting the engine.
