It features a throttle plate that opens and closes based on accelerator pedal input, managing the air-fuel mixture for optimal combustion. Symptoms of a failing throttle body can include poor acceleration, hesitation, rough idling, stalling, and a Check Engine light. This assembly comes complete with a throttle body gasket. Please note that after replacing the throttle body assembly, the adaptation values stored in the DME control unit must be reset. This genuine MINI throttle body assembly is designed for Mini Cooper S models with the 1.6L L4 W11B16A Gas engine. It is compatible with model years 2002 through 2008, covering both hatchback (R53) and convertible (R52) body styles.
