Manufactured with high-grade temperature-insulating plastic, it helps insulate the throttle body from engine heat. This reduction in heat transfer leads to lower intake air temperatures and a potential increase in horsepower.

By breaking the heat transfer between the cylinder head and the intake manifold/throttle body, these gaskets create cooler incoming air. Cooler air is denser, providing more oxygen for combustion and preventing the ECU from having to compensate for heat-related density loss. The gaskets are also reusable, offering a cost-effective alternative to purchasing new OEM gaskets for maintenance.

Manufactured from a high-grade, temperature-insulating plastic, this gasket is precision-cut to serve as a direct replacement for specific OEM gaskets. Its primary function is to create a thermal barrier between the hot cylinder head and the intake manifold and throttle body. By effectively breaking the transfer of heat, the gasket helps maintain lower intake air temperatures. As air heats up, its density decreases, reducing the amount of oxygen available for combustion. This phenomenon, known as heat soak, can lead to a loss of power as the engine's computer compensates for the reduced oxygen content. K-Tuned's design aims to combat this by keeping intake air cooler and denser, thereby increasing horsepower.
