Description

A throttle position sensor (TPS) is an electronic sensor that monitors the position of the throttle in an internal combustion engine. It is typically located on the throttle body and sends a signal to the engine control unit (ECU) indicating how far open the throttle is. This information is used by the ECU to control fuel injection and ignition timing.
