Overview

It features bespoke cast aluminum end tanks and a Garrett core for efficient cooling. The intercooler includes reinforced silicone couplers and utilizes factory charge pipe and o-ring seals for installation.

The COBB Thrust Tunnel, made from wrinkle black powder-coated aluminum, connects to the factory hood ducting to maximize airflow through the intercooler core. This top mount intercooler is designed as a direct replacement for the OEM unit and does not require any tuning changes, being compatible with stock calibrations and COBB Stage 1 OTS maps.

This intercooler is ideal for drivers seeking performance gains while maintaining drivability. Installation is streamlined with included reinforced silicone couplers. It utilizes the factory charge pipe and stock o-ring seals for both the inlet and outlet connections, ensuring a seamless fit from the turbocharger to the throttle body. A key component is the COBB Thrust Tunnel, crafted from wrinkle black powder-coated aluminum, which attaches to the factory hood ducting to ensure maximum airflow is directed through the intercooler core. The intercooler features a 20" x 7" x 4" core and is a direct replacement for the OEM intercooler. Crucially, this intercooler does not require any ECU tuning changes. It is fully compatible with the factory Subaru calibration and can also be used with COBB Stage 1 Off-The-Shelf (OTS) maps, providing a straightforward performance upgrade. The product is 50-state legal with CARB Executive Order numbers D-660-119, D-660-154, D-660-188, D-660-244, and D-660-309.
