The Clevite TB309 is a timing belt designed to synchronize crankshaft and camshaft rotation in overhead camshaft (OHC) and dual overhead camshaft (DOHC) engines. Proper timing belt function is crucial for maintaining engine performance, fuel efficiency, and preventing engine damage. This timing belt is constructed from high-tensile strength fiberglass cords and encapsulated in a durable, heat- and wear-resistant rubber compound, with a nylon fabric coating on the outer surface for reduced friction and noise.
