The ECS Tuning Timing Chain Kit provides essential components for replacing worn timing chain guide rails, a common failure point in the M62 engine. Symptoms of worn guides, such as timing chain "slap" or vibration, typically emerge between 80,000 and 100,000 miles. Neglecting this issue can lead to the timing chain jumping out of time, potentially causing significant engine damage. This kit is assembled with quality OE replacement components to ensure all necessary parts are on hand for installation. The kit includes a comprehensive set of parts, such as all required gaskets and seals, camshaft timing chain tensioners with retaining clips, the crankshaft to camshaft timing chain tensioner with sealing washer, timing chain guide rails, water pump hose o-rings, fan shroud rivets, the oil separator valve, crankshaft to camshaft timing chains, cylinder head timing chains, a replacement oil filter with its associated o-ring, a dipstick o-ring, valve cover bolt seals, and a crankshaft bolt. It is designed for select BMW X5 models, specifically the 4.4i and 4.6is Sport Utility vehicles with the E53 chassis, from model years 2000 through 2006.
