The Cloyes Gear & Products 9-5637 is an inverted tooth timing chain tensioner designed to maintain appropriate tension in the timing chain. This hydraulic and spring-activated tensioner is constructed from aluminum and nylon materials for durability. The tensioner includes a mounting bracket and spring, but bolts are not supplied.

To ensure optimal performance and the integrity of the entire timing system, Cloyes recommends replacing the timing chain, guides, and sprockets concurrently with the tensioner during service. This component is CAD designed and manufactured using premium, heat-treated materials to meet OE-level fit and function, facilitating a smooth installation and reliable operation. Each part undergoes extensive testing for function, fitment, and durability, minimizing the risk of comebacks. The 9-5637 utilizes the latest design and material technology for a quiet and maintenance-free experience.
