Developed through real-world research and development, these slicks offer a competitive edge. Its stiff sidewall construction (denoted by 'S') aids in quicker reaction times due to less tire distortion, making it suitable for high horsepower applications and heavier cars (over 3,000 lbs). The L8 compound is noted as a good compound for general use. Important considerations for bias-ply drag drive tires include ensuring they are matched to be within 1/2 inch of roll-out. The manufacturer also warns against using these tires on a dynamometer (dyno). For rim width, acceptable practice is tread width plus or minus one inch, with the exception of ET Street R, ET Street R Bias, and ET Street S/S models.
