Titanium Exhaust Wrap 2-Inch x 50-Foot

The DEI Titanium Exhaust Wrap is constructed from pulverized lava rock, stranded into a fiber material and woven into a proprietary diagonal weave. This design makes the wrap stronger and more durable than other options, while also being easier to install around tight bends. It is pliable, resistant to chemical oil spills, and vibration breakdown, securing tightly without needing to be pre-wetted. Engineered for extreme conditions, this wrap can withstand direct heat up to 1800°F and intermittent heat up to 2500°F. It promotes increased airflow for improved performance and helps reduce underhood temperatures. The material offers a hi-tech carbon fiber look and does not require DEI HT Silicone Coating or pre-wetting for installation. Important considerations include a caution against wrapping catalytic converters, as overheating can reduce their lifespan. The manufacturer suggests using alternative products like the Corvette Catalytic Converter Shield or Floor & Tunnel Shield II™ for this application. Therefore, it's advised to avoid wrapping flex pipes or flex joints. DEI also explicitly does not recommend wrapping exhausts made of titanium, as it can cause the alloy to become brittle and crack due to excessive heat retention.
