Overview

The DEI Titanium exhaust wrap is a 2-inch by 50-foot roll designed for automotive and motorcycle applications. It is constructed from a fiber material made from pulverized lava rock, woven into a proprietary diagonal weave. It can withstand direct heat up to 1800°F and intermittent heat up to 2500°F without requiring pre-wetting or silicone coating.

The DEI Titanium exhaust wrap is constructed from pulverized lava rock, stranded into a fiber material and woven into a proprietary diagonal weave. It offers resistance to chemical oil spills and vibration breakdown, securing tightly without pre-wetting. This exhaust wrap is capable of withstanding extreme temperatures, rated for direct heat up to 1800°F and intermittent heat up to 2500°F. It promotes increased flow for improved performance and reduces temperature and vibration breakdown, providing a hi-tech carbon fiber look. DEI explicitly advises against wrapping catalytic converters, as overheating can reduce their lifespan. For catalytic converter heat shielding, alternative DEI products like the Corvette Catalytic Converter Shield or Floor & Tunnel Shield II™ are recommended. Therefore, avoid wrapping flex-pipes or flex-joints. DEI also does NOT recommend wrapping exhausts made of titanium, as it can cause the alloy to become brittle and prone to cracking due to excessive heat retention. For titanium exhaust systems, DEI suggests using flexible heat shields instead.
