Titanium Retainer Valve Spring Kit

The Supertech Performance Valve Spring & Retainer Set is engineered to elevate the performance of 2.0T FSI and TSI engines, allowing safe operation beyond 7,500 RPM. This comprehensive kit features performance valve springs crafted from a premium Superclean Chrome Silicon Vanadium Steel Alloy, offering increased spring rates to extend the engine's powerband. The set includes 6AL4V Grade Titanium retainers, which significantly reduce mass, aiding in the prevention of valve float and allowing for longer springs that accommodate camshafts with higher lift than factory specifications. These springs and retainers are designed to enable engine speeds up to 8,000 RPM, with occasional use up to 8,500 RPM on hydraulic lifters. For even higher RPM potential, conversion to solid lifter buckets is possible. The titanium construction ensures adequate fatigue life for most street applications. This kit includes a total of 16 springs and 16 retainers, providing a complete solution for engine upgrades. Specific spring data includes a seat pressure of 73lbs @ 38.60mm (Intake) and 85lbs @ 37.20mm (Exhaust), with open pressure of 178lbs @ 10mm (Intake) and 190lbs @ 10mm (Exhaust). The maximum lift is rated at 12.50mm (Intake) and 11.00mm (Exhaust), with a spring coil bind limit of 24.90mm. The springs feature a rate of 10.50lbs/mm, with an outer diameter of 24.00mm and an inner diameter of 16.50mm. It is important to note that above 7500 RPM, factory rods should be updated unless a tuner specifies otherwise. Upgraded rods should also be considered when revving over 8000 RPM. This kit is designed for EA113 (all variants) and EA888 Gen.1 and Gen.2 engines. It does not directly fit EA888 Gen.3 without rocker arm modification.
