The TREMEC TKO 600 is a robust 5-speed manual transmission engineered for vehicles with high torque demands, suitable for both street and performance racing applications. This transmission boasts a significant torque capacity of 600 lb-ft and features a 1-1/8 inch input shaft. With carefully selected gear ratios, the TKO 600 provides effective power delivery. It offers a 2.87 ratio for first gear and a 1.89 ratio for second gear, contributing to its versatility. The transmission itself is exceptionally lightweight, weighing only 99 lbs dry. While versatile, specific fitment details are important. The TCET4618 model is designed for GM applications and can fit within the tunnel of 1982 through 1992 Chevy Camaros. It is also noted to fit any GM 4-speed bell housing and can be adapted for use in Ford vehicles. Professional installation is strongly recommended for this transmission.
