This splitter increases the flow capacity to your TMIC by 70%, which significantly improves its heat-removal capabilities and allows for more aggressive engine tuning. The design ensures even flow distribution across the entire intercooler core, maximizing its cooling potential. Constructed from durable 5052 aluminum, the splitter is CNC laser-cut for precision and features a tough DuPont Black Powdercoat finish. It includes a custom EPDM rubber gasket for a reliable seal and is equipped with three ports for intercooler sprayers, allowing for the use of the factory STI sprayer or the addition of an aftermarket system. The lightweight aluminum construction, coupled with a riveted assembly instead of welds, prevents material stress and potential cracking. This splitter is specifically designed for the 2004-2008 Subaru Forester XT models when equipped with a GrimmSpeed or OEM STI TMIC. It also fits 2002-2007 Impreza models with a WRX or STI scoop. Installation involves attaching the splitter beneath the hood scoop to properly direct ambient air over the intercooler core.
