The Turbonetics TNX 30 Series Turbocharger represents the latest in turbocharger technology, designed from the ground up for maximum performance in a compact package. This "super core" unit is ideal for smaller displacement, high-performance engines seeking significant power gains. It boasts new compressor and turbine wheels optimized using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure high efficiency across a broad operating range and superior durability. At its heart, the TNX 30 Series features ultra-low-friction dual ceramic ball bearings, a significant upgrade for reduced wear and enhanced longevity. Water-cooling is integrated to further extend bearing and seal life, even under demanding operating conditions. Dual oil seals are present at each end of the shaft for added reliability. The turbo is designed for universal application and is available with standard T25 and T3 turbine inlets, featuring a V-Band discharge. T4 turbine inlets are slated for future release. An internally wastegated turbine housing with an actuator is included, and the unit is covered by Turbonetics' one-year No-Fault/No-Hassle Warranty. Specifics for this model (11817-BB) include the TNX-40/64 application with a TNX D COVER compressor housing. The compressor wheel has an inducer diameter of 82mm and a 64mm exducer, while the turbine wheel measures 69mm with a 55mm inducer. This configuration is rated for up to 800 horsepower.
